I got 5 people signing up with MTN on the MTN Bis Deal with the BB8520 on a Anytime 100. The advertisement says that BIS is included at no extra cost.

All of them had to phone afterwards to get BIS activated and was told by someone on 808 that BIS is not included and that they will have to pay the extra amount of R69 per month for BIS.

There must be a problem somewhere. Either the people working at MTN doesnt know about the deal or they are just trying to milk everyone for that extra R69 per month.

Why do a client have to phone MTN to activate BIS anyway? If it is included in the package it should be activated when you get the phone.

Last night I had to phone 808 from my brother in law's cellphone to get BIS activated. After being disconnected about 5 times I got through the 6th time and had to hold for about 30 minutes before I was able to speak to someone who didn't know what he was talking about.

My brother in law had to phone again later that evening only to hold for a bit longer that I did and to get the same response from a different person.

I told him that it would be best (or better) to go to the MTN store where he took out the contract to speak to the person who helped him when he signed the contract because after all she is the person who should've activated BIS when he took out the contract.

Does MTN have any vacancies?

I know a lot of people who's looking for work and are willing to give customer service to people who pays for it.

the call centre doesn't know what is going on, I had the same experience. Go to the store, they sorted me out very quickly. The call centre wanted me to fax them stuff etc, which would have gotten me a extra bis account.
