Knowing mtn, about a week after never. And while the sim idea may work, you will void your provider warranty, mtn will not longer deal with any warenty issues and you would have to go to Samsung directly
Phones have a dual warranty, while the full 2 years are covered by the manufacturer, the first year is dealt with internally by the provider during which time they use thier own technicians to do repairs and replace from own stock where applicable.Warranty isn't dealt by MTN - it's handled by Samsung, so warranty will still apply no matter which official firmware of service provider you use.
If you do get the 5.1.1 update, let us know of your experience with it.Does anyone know when Android 5.1.1 will be rolled out on MTN for Samsung Galaxy S6?
