MTN Black Friday Discussions

So I applied on Friday (black Friday), sim was approved and activated today. Haven't received bonus yet? Amy time-frame?

I am in the same boat, except I was activated yesterday and I am still waiting for the promo mins and data.

Hopefully we get a firm response as to when. I called the call center and they said this evening. Nothing as yet
 
I'm also awaiting on mine, got my contract yesterday. Only activated this morning though. Got the inclusive stuff. Not the promo stuff
 
So I contacted MTN yesterday for the sim only R149 deal. I was advised that a consultant will call me back. An hour or 2 later a lady from MTN contacted me and enquired if I need an upgrade or new contract. I advised it was new contract. She asked for my ID no which I supplied. Few moments later she told me its fine and I will be contacted by an agent to complete the deal.

After 5pm my phone rang while I was driving so I couldn't answer. I pulled off the road and listened to the voicemail that was left by the consultant. He requested me to call back and left a cell number. I tried about 4-5 times to call the no he left in the message. It will ring then a caller tune will play and then a message that the subscriber is not available.

I contacted MTN again on Facebook page and advised of the situation. This morning they replied and advised me that the deal was only for yesterday and they cannot assist me anymore. :mad:
 
People be careful, the consultant who captured my contract application didn't request supporting documents which she should have, luckily I phoned and inquired about the status of my application this afternoon and discovered the docs where outstanding. Sent them through now.

After 3 days they close the application if the supporting docs are not received.

I wasn't asked for supporting documents either. When I called to enquire, I was told the application was finalized.
 
I also never submitted any supporting documents, I received an SMS today to say that my application has been approved.
Applied via the call centre.
 
Not documents this side either.

Received confirmation SMS that courier will contact for delivery.

Are you an existing Mtn customer or new? If existing they don't require anything, if new then the usual documents fica etc applies.
 
I wanted to keep my prepaid number but they said this special is only for upgrades and new contracts. Is this correct?
 
For the guys who ordered new sims. Have you had yours delivered or scheduled yet?
