MTN Black Friday Discussions

Please post the copy here or give it to the staff writers. I asked if there are any restrictions /throttling and was told no.
 
I just received my free data, around 38. 5GB pro-rata. My data/minutes usually come through on the 13th of every month, so I guess the pro-rata amount is based on that date.
 
How long can the vetting and approval take?

I did my application online but I'm currently self employed so I'm imagining they will eventually want bank statements etc before they approve the contract.

When I was on the phone with them and since there system was working at acceptable speeds I was approved as we were going through the process
 
For those that received their promo data, can you please verify that it works when your device is a hotspot?
 
It honestly seems like a misunderstanding between the data share and hotspot usage with the consultants.

Useage like that was not mentioned as not allowed anywhere only restriction is no using the Mtn datashare service(for the 50gb bundle) which can share a data bundle across more than one sim.

Appears you could use datashare with the contracts native data bundle, ie the 500mb or 2gb, which may be handy, share that with a relative or your main cell phone number.

Yeah what's wrong with that? I was asked how they would restrict it and that proves it's possible and has been done.

Having said that, I don't believe that MTN will. It's just to put the conflicting reports to rest.

Yes I believe this is the case as well but just wanted to confirm.

I still haven't got mine, and i really need it.Did you also get your free MTN-MTN mins?
 
Hey guys, how long does it usually take for MTN to approve the contract? I went in to a branch on Friday to get the black Friday but I still haven't received confirmation yet?

I also went it on Friday and got my Confirmation of approval on Sunday. Maybe you should call in and here what is going on?
 
I'm going to be seriously pissed off if you can't pop the sim into a router!
 
Have you all had the prorata data loaded yet? Package upgraded, but stuck with 440MB data?
