MTN Black Friday Discussions

Any chance you have a deal code for the 75/20?

Hi, 2024124 CT 00004 RET is deal ID on agreement.

However all you need to say is you’re looking for the MTN essential plans they seem to have standardised it and the lady I spoke to provided the information immediately with a simple prompt of the 75/20 or the 525/15.

Don't worry they going to screw you over april with a increase....:D lol

I’ve been on the BF deals since inception. I do mind the increases, but it’s not a deal breaker.

It’s still best value for money for me. I still pay under R800 for 3 contracts, that give me in total across 1100 minutes and 1000gb’s of data.

Plus I have 5 other sims that I share the data with so definitely value all across.

Was on 36 months and ended up with 2 increase, ended up paying nearly a R100 more at the end of it, it is almost entirely a new additional cheap contract....24 months this time around. I am likely to only see one increase. I would prefer 12 months, MTN has been increasing their data caps at least once a year, recently.

36 month is WAAAY to long for sim only....they really should make sim only 12-24 months....

Thanks man!

So, call 135, follow the prompts to go through to cancellations and ask for retentions...
Don't bother doing this on a Saturday. You just waste a few minutes and you're then told their office is closed and you must call on Monday.

Somehow this is MTN's fault ? Last I checked this was a pretty normal thing for large businesses...WTF ??

I settled for the 100GB for R159 pm x24 deal.

Much better than the one I was on : R229 for 40GB

Hi
Is this a retention deal?
How much data is shareable?
I was offered these along with 200 GB for R299. I kept asking again and again, and the representative kept stating that 130GB is shareable, whereas 70GB is not. I don't believe this. Furthermore, I'm not certain, but I think only 30GB is shareable in case of 100GB deal.

I've been wondering about just going prepaid. When I've run out of voice minutes, it's pretty affordable to just top up with 300 odd minutes...

Got a question about this so I'll DM to avoid going off topic here, hope you don't mind.

I will find out on the 12th how much I can data share....and report back...

Hi
Would it be possible to share the deal code for 100GB for R159 pm x24 deal?
Is this deal available for personal customers only or for business customers as well.

Just adding to your question:

Can new customers sign up as well? Or only those on previous MTN contracts?

I got this deal, 70gb is shareable, 130gb is not. Its basically the MTN Ruby package with 130gb promo data each month

Just called retentions now. Apparently you'll have to pay almost R400 to cancel early and change to another black friday contract. I was on last years 18 month contract. Decided not to upgrade and will cancel instead when the contract ends.
