Don't understand why I can't keep my number. Useless without my number. Gonna cancel inn this cooling off period if he can't fix this. Just b.s.

You can. You store manager told me that you request the MTN 'number for life' option and then they switch your prepaid number to contract. The store I got the 50GB deal from was out of stock of simcards, so I used a nano sim that I had bought from Edgars.
 
To everyone that had their sim cards/contracts delivered: Does the contract state anything about the 50GB per month x 24 months?
 
Nope not yet. The consultant did say that even though I am keeping my number they still have to send a new sim which I will have to activate but I continue using the current sim. Haven't even received a confirmation SMS or email yet

This is wrong. I did not receive a new sim. My prepaid sim was just changed to the contract by their system. I didn't do anything. My sim never left my phone.

Received my bonus data this morning. Can't see the minutes.

Message I received this morning:

"Yello! Thanks for upgrading. You have received your FREE Data and FREE MTN to MTN Minutes for 24 months. Dial *141# for balance. T's and C's"

Again, this was prepaid to contract.

I phoned MTN now, they said I'll receive the promo stuff on Dec 14. Since I was on prepaid and moved to contract it's regarded as an upgrade. Weird.

That does not sounds right, I signed up on Friday and got my promo top ups today. I also went from pre paid to "Contract"

That's really weird! I'll wait for the SMS of the promo stuff to come through. I'll phone again tomorrow and make the inquiry of what's going on.

Did you sign up through the call Centre or store?
 
What was that email address someone posted to which they had to sent supporting documents?
 
Phoned Friday and everything was captured, phoned yesterday to check status the agent says the "vetting" department sent it back for recapturing. But by recaturing they dont have the option to add the special so there is nothing they can do :(
I'm a bit worried about that as I'm self employed which means a bit sketchy for contracts in their eyes, what was the reason it needed to be recaptured, what does that even mean, if it gets to the vetting stage it should have been captured correctly already, maybe the consultant made a boo boo in the info she captured?
 
I am self employed too and I am still waiting on the SMS, I applied on Monday. However on the contract I put my initials on in store I did see a part where is said "XDS-Passed" so I am assuming that could mean the credit check was successful. I don't know what else they need to confirm now.

Yeah I think the agent made a mistake somewhere
 
Has anyone gotten this deal with a dual sim? Can you confirm if it does work? Using the secondary sim in my phone and main sim with the 50 gigs in an lte modem?
