Remember no sms to the secondary sim, calls yes, shouldnt be an issue, have you tried applying for it?
 
Collected my Sims just now... The promo data is not mentioned anywhere on my documents after a quick look

Luckily all calls to the centre are recorded and they clearly told me what the deal entails over the phone.

Might be a good backup plan to get a recording of one of the calls if that is possible.

I went to a store and they told me it won't work. I called 808 and they told me it should work (promo data and all). I guess I will just take it and see what happens

I would feel a whole lot better if it was stated on the contract somewhere. I wonder how hard it would be to cancel the sim only contract if/when they do pull the plug on the 50gb.
 
Approved for 2 x contracts! (hoping I got both)

Finally got all the docs through early this afternoon and just got the approved sms.

"Dear Valued Customer; your application for an MTN contract has been approved.Our Courier Company will make contact with you and arrange for delivery."
 
It sucks that only the original person who helped you can do anything helpful for you. Left like 5 messages for my sales consultant to contact me.. Still waiting.

Have you sent ID, 3 months bank statements, proof of residence, all in pdf format?

The provisional acceptance is that your credit rating passed. If you have submitted docs then phone and make sure they have been received, if I hadn't phoned I wouldn't have known I had to submit documents, lady didn't say I need to, some people don't have to. I could have missed the boat, 3 days with no docs received and they cancel the application.
 
I got my dual sim. The guy at the store said it will work. It will take up to 48 hours to activate. I will update here when I find out if it works or not. I have a feeling its not going to

Would love to know too! I have Telkom's R 99 deal for 5GB from April. If I get dual sim, I can pop it in to that device and use the data
