Thanks
Before you call. Just try *141*5#. I tried this before and it always failed. I tried it now and it allowed me to reach the end.

I'm taking a chance here, but was her name Khanya? That's the one I'm working with and she's sht - didn't give me her mail and i can't reach her
Just spoke to a lady at Mtn in the applications who has worked there for 10yrs, if the number isn't an MTN number you have to do the port request at the time of the application and if it's a Mtn prepaid number(that hasn't been ported in the last 3 mobths) then you can do it after the application but only before the contract sim is activated and a number assigned to it.I asked and others also, apparently if your porting number is legible you can port it to the contract at any time.
Wondering if you can port that same number off the contract at any time, probably not?
What network and type of number did you port?I didn't port when signing the contract, but did so afterwards. Basically it is a number change which I contacted head office for. Call centers and stores said it wasn't possible.
Any idea if this can be managed online?
Who is the delivery company? I ordered one on Friday, yet to receive it.
Just ask for anyone's email that you u speak to so they can add the docs to your application, they all always an @mtn.com personal email.Thanks. Definitely the same Khanya because she said she was sick this morning when I spoke to her.
I have now phoned again and asked for her supervisor to be contacted to take a look at it and come back to me. The problem is I need to send documents to complete the applications but the MTNdirectdocuments email address returns an Inbox Is Full error and I don't have her direct email address or any way to reach her. Really frustrating.
Got my data and MTN free minutes loaded. 23.59GB.![]()

Wtf, what is actually the situation, from past experience the above seems true rather than what had previously been said about being able to port a legible number at any time during the contract?
I messaged the an executive on LinkedIn. Prepaid TelkomWhat network and type of number did you port?
How did you manage to find someone willing to process it at Mtn?
I have a prepaid Mtn sim but I wouldn't mind holding off porting until a month or 2 once I'm happy this contract is legit.
I just received my sim & contract but it doesn't seem to be active yet. Is this normal and how long would it take to become active?
I did phone them after posting but the guy told me it needs to be RICAed first wich can take a long time because the courier needs to hand them the documents first. You have to call the call center and activate the sim. I did that yesterday at +-4pm, and when i inserted the sim's this morning they were active.
The promo bundle however, was only active on one. The other simcards, i was told, will be loaded in 7 days :/ (but 7 days from contract order which will be tomorrow)
She is new and off sick. She was the one that captured the wrong package for me and eventually insisted on someone else assisting me. Now I have received the sms that the courier will contact me.
I was also assisted by Khanya who made a mistake with capturing my package resulting the vetting department sending it back for recapture only for the special to be expired
