Same happned to me. But my vetting was instant. So I started leaving a papertrail (messages and posts on Facebook) on Tuesday it was fixed when I became difficult and the correct package loaded. My sim is at the couriers.
 
My process on the phone was painless. No documents required. Just an I'd number and home address and the next day it was sorted ...now just to wait for the 50gigs. I did receive once off 30gigs valid for 30 days though.
 
I received my promo stuff.

It took time but it came through!

There was someone here that was gonna try the dual sim thing. Please let me know if it works! I have a router that I can use the secondary sim with. Would like to know if it works.

Getting the contract was very advantageous for me so I hounded them, I was approved hours after all my docs were submitted.

Do you you have the reference number for your application?
Phone the call center and use that, or it seems they can also pick it up via your ID number.

Thanks. I hounded the lady that did my application. Got my sim today. Still waiting for my data to be loaded though

That was me. Still waiting for my secondary sim to be activated. I was told within 48 hours it will be active, that will be tomorrow at 18:30 roughly
 
So it looks like I can port my Mtn prepaid number to to the contract when they deliver the sim card, phone the activation number and request a number for life port?

That will be the one and only window to do it at this point?

Got my SIM cards from MTN store. They said activation may be today or tomorrow. I'm porting one number but another one is new line. Just popped in the new sim and it's seems activated now showing a balance of 202mb and 200 SMS and 86 mins. The sim which has the no to be ported also detects the network but if try to call it's says to be rica it. And not working at the same time my no to be ported went dead says not available now wtf. Is it normal? What should I do now?
I was waiting for a porting confirmation message which I was supposed to confirm for the port to go through which hasn't yet arrived and I waited all day.
So why my no already dead? While porting is not complete also? I'm confused

You get 30gigs sign on for 30days. Then an additional 50gigs pro rata ... So truth is you should be seeing well over 30gigs and not 23gigs . Should this not be the case ?

The 30GB sign on deal either only applies when you take out an LTE device or they replaced it with the 50GB x 24 months.

I doubt there's an additional 30GB for the people that took out the R 149 sim only deal.

If you upgraded to an LTE handset and didn't receive an SMS on your promo stuff being loaded, it's the sign up promo.

If you got an SMS to say your free min and data has been loaded x 24 months , it's the upgrade promo

I applied for a contract last Friday and I finally got the conditionally approved SMS yesterday after numerous calls to the store I purchased the contract from. I then received a call from the agent saying I could come and collect the phone. Then about an hour later the consultant called to tell me that the sim will take 24hrs to activate and she can't issue the phone without the sim first being activated.
Has anyone else experienced the same thing? I don't know if she is talking nonsense as usually the sim gets activated once you have the phone already?

So you saying that if I took out a phone contact I wasn't suppose to get the 30gigs but rather the 50 gig pro rata ?
 
Hi I received my sim a few days ago with 27 gigs pro rata but I think the speeds are throttled, it sometimes works fast but then comes to a halt soon after. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Only did speedtests so far, full speed for me.
