Do you guys think 500gig is enough for streaming movies and music?
Not every day but like maybe 3/4 times a week.
If it’s one device then it will be more then enough.

My night data also says expires. Don't know why I thought it was recurring unless they changed it but I think I probably just saw wrong. I think maybe because the night data says expires the 12 of December, that's when my data usually resets, the anytime data expires on the 17 of January. My 400GB night data says expiring also, not recurring.
Reboot and will work. Same thing happened to me on both my contracts...Since I upgraded this afternoon I can't access data. Wtf
If I remember correctly my 60+60 base night data rolled over just not the promo night dataMy night data also says expires. I don't think my night data ever rolled over. Only non promotional anytime data did.If I remember correctly my 60+60 base night data rolled over just not the promo night data
Thanks for the breakdown! So netflix needs 1 gig per hour SD and 3-4Gig per hour HD ...
Youtube would be similar .. so say on average 4 gig per hour HD ... and you're looking at 125 hours of netflix or youtube.
That allows say 4 hours of watching per day for 30 days
OR if they watch for 4 days per week they can watch 6 hours of watching 3/4 times per week ..
I called and inquired about this, the deal was supposed to be 100gb anytime +100gb night then 400gb promo anytime, 400gb promo night time. The 100gb anytime would have been shareable. The issue is that the contract isn't configured properly, its giving us 100gb promo anytime, 100 gb promo night time and 400gb once off anytime and 400gb once off night time.I have a similar thing now, i just upgraded to 500GB+500GB, my balance is now 200GB+ but when I go to the app's datashare section, it says i'm sharing 70GB with other people. But that's from the balance of my previous contract, not from the newly loaded bundle.
retentions lady told me only the 100GB promo isn't shareable, but looks like the whole thing might not be shareable
@airborne did you manage to share any of the 400GB?
Also still waiting for promo bundles to be added. I have everything on email so will follow up ina few days if not loaded..When does tge promotional data and minutes get loaded? I received sms for the made foe me xs minutes and data but it does not include the additional minutes as discussed with the agent?
Every consultant will tell you something different but the Base contract is called the My Choice 400gb hence the base data that should be used for datashare will be the 400gb and the 100gb is the promo data.I called and inquired about this, the deal was supposed to be 100gb anytime +100gb night then 400gb promo anytime, 400gb promo night time. This is a big problem, it means during the next date that our data renews we'll get 100gb+100gb (basically 800gb less) and nothing for datashare. The consultant logged the issue but I think more people need to log it so they're aware that its widespread
Not sure if related, but in 2018 I had a major issue when I upgraded, only access to 3g and sms, no data no calls, turns out someone had roaming enabled on my sim. Worth checkingSince I upgraded this afternoon I can't access data. Wtf
Yeah but does your datashare work for 400gb? Mine is currently working for 0gb. Data share isn't working and its mainly because the 400gb anytime data that was loaded (240 gb for me prorata) is once off, on the contract it doesn't show up as renewable.Every consultant will tell you something different but the Base contract is called the My Choice 400gb hence the base data that should be used for datashare will be the 400gb and the 100gb is the promo data.
That's also what I was also told when upgrading.

Rebooted 3x. Called call centre 5x. Eventually they refreshed sim on network and it worked. Not sure if related, but in 2018 I had a major issue when I upgraded, only access to 3g and sms, no data no calls, turns out someone had roaming enabled on my sim. Worth checking
I looked and I see what you mean by the 400gb portion showing as expiring, probably semantics or a glitch.Yeah but does your datashare work for 400gb? Mine is currently working for 0gb. The previous contract was rubbishI looked and I see what you mean by the 400gb portion showing as expiring, probably semantics or a glitch.
I'm still datasharing off my 60+60gb data is all your previous contract data finished?
You could also try removing and then re-adding the datashare sim to see if that will make the system wake up.
My understanding is that the expiry dates is like an indication of whether unused data will carry over or not. You'll see night express and promotional data don't carry over so the expiry is end of current billing cycle (december). But expiry for mtnchoice 400gb is in January. Coz unused data will carry over til end of next billing cycle.I looked and I see what you mean by the 400gb portion showing as expiring, probably semantics or a glitch.

That's what I was also thinking but my old 60gb data is shown as recurring. My understanding is that the expiry dates is like an indication of whether unused data will carry over or not. Start of next billing cycle, we should see new 400gb + previous months unused data + promo + night express.
