MTN Black Friday Discussions

Yip - I have tried the sim in multiple devices, reboots, different APN's, something is broken on the back end
Wait a while. They just haven't processed the data bolt-on package yet. Same happened with me last night. Upgrade was processed and I got various smses. Then the data SMS only came through about 2-3hours later and data worked fine.
 
Any new customers tried their luck with the deals ?

It's been 48hrs. There's definitely a problem. No data connection and the myMTN app still shows the line being on the 2018 BF package but next upgrade date is 2023
 
Is that a second sim on the same contract?

Edit: Found this after some googling - https://www.mtn.co.za/Pages/DualCalling.aspx. Didn't know this existed, awesome stuff
I'm trying to activate this on my contract however none of their consultants know about it I'm being transferred from one department to another, will email customer care hopefully they know about it

You need to go to retentions ask about the 500gig and 100 night deal

You should be fine .. i got an sms that the deals would be available until the 6th or 9th dec. Don't quite remember which.

I’m on Telkom prepaid, porting to MTN contract for the 550 minutes. Telkom is a non event for BF deals.



That’s often the problem - no-one is on the same level *especially* on Black Friday. I’ll confirm once I’ve gone to the next step.

Only today did I get a new subscriber agreement form with a request to also attach my ID.

Still a work in progress...
 
Can cancel anytime as is a sim only contract. Cost to cancel is R499
My deal is 500GB Anytime + 500GB Night Express
Can data share 400GB
There is a penalty with these.
I asked the consultant champion. Its 2x monthly payment plus the outstanding balance for the current month.
 
My debit order just went off at R1065 :( Not the R3000 I saw at the beginning but still not the correct value, so much for them fixing it.
