MTN Black Friday Discussions

Just a note. Sometimes MNT is pretty useless. They debited my account twice. They cant see the double charging on their side.

Now this is how a billion value company stay in the money seats: take money and cant explain why
 
Just took one retention: R119- 75 min, 22GB anytime
Previously was on R79 -10GB day, 10 night, 100 mins.
There's a 10 day cooling off period so if something better comes, can still cancel and change.

Pretty good deal. Is this on a 24 month?

I just upgraded to a similar deal that ran 2 years ago.

525 Anytime minutes
17GB of data

R179 pm for 24 months
or
R149 pm for 36 months

There are some other deals available as well:

125 Anytime minutes
12GB of data

R99 for 24 months
or
R79 for 36 months

My line dropped after that, but I managed to upgrade to the 525 minutes, 17GB data

Just got off the phone with retentions, seems this year they only have Sim only / upgrade deals.

Previous years you could add a phone for a slight premium. Maybe Ill call again and a different agent will say differently.

Edit to add another deal I was told about this morning (23 Nov 2022) by Retentions.
Apparently the above are RETENTION only deals, cannot be taken as a new contract, only an upgrade to an existing contract.

Thats a decent deal, wonder why the guy never told me about that? ah just realised thats 36 months, I asked for 24 month deals only.
Ah well, i plan to call again tomorrow.

Is the data on these deals only Anytime data, or is it divided by 2 between anytime and night data.
