MTN Black Friday Discussions

Mentioned to him that cancellation should be 1 month penalty and he started talking about adding VAT and remaining months.
 
Ok So here's some info. Many of the people we've been speaking to at "MTN Retentions" are actually outsourced. Hence the cluelessness.
I've been dealing with someone at MTN Business and MTN Retail (Smartsurv house) to try to resolve the incorrect upgrades done through retentions, he explained that when he called the retentions agents supervisor, it turns out the supervisor and the specific agent are from an outsourced company. BUT, the upgrades WILL be sorted out.
I suspect all these outsourced people are the reason the deals we're being offered differ so dramatically and are inconsistent.

I’ve also noticed that, some agents are on the ball others are totally clueless and unhelpful.

Called retentions. They don’t have a 600+600 but they do have a 500+500 for R349. I can’t upgrade to it from my current 500+500 because that would be considered a downgrade she says and not allowed.

Cancellation fee would be R1700 something because they don’t include the discount when calculating.

thought it was just one month cancellation fee on mtn?

need to call retentions....contract expiring soon...

Sneaky bastards, what has the fake “discount” have to do with anything the agreed upon figure is all that matters. What is the actual un-discounted monthly rate according to them?

Not sure but with 1 year to go, my cancellation fee has varied between R1700-R2400 over the past couple of days.
