MTN Black Friday Discussions

Received a call from MTN or affiliate trying their luck. Spoke about my 2020 BF deal which is coming to an end and was offering me another deal.

Yes, not a upgrade over which they were evasive. Discussed my BF and usage - of which they aware of specific patterns - and the offer was to boost that anytime data that gets depleted. But it was not an upgrade to that by offering more anytime data in the upgrade. It was a new data contract.

Pushy person, I asked them about the upgrade but they said to take this offer and when the time comes to keep or cancel the BF deal if I am not interested.

Seems to be a tactic to trap those less alert.

Yep. They even processed a debit order after I declined their offer on multiple occasions.

I reported it to the bank as fraudulent.

This was 2 months or so after I took the 2022 BF 50gb data deal.

Does anyone have any updates on possible contracts available?
I have nearly 30 days left on my contract, and plan to cancel if I there is no better cheaper deal.
The most valuable thing is the datashare, but am not willing to pay more than R200 for it.
They offered a like for like, but wanted to keep me at the R349 price point, which i do not want to spend, as its a secondary contract, and I have fibre.
