MTN Black Friday Discussions

Hi all, I signed up for a BF deal in 2020. Im due for an upgrade now. Does anyone have a number or email for retentions so I can see what they offer me. Or should I wait for Black Friday
 
Did you guys give MTN notice to for termination of contract already? When do we have to do that to avoid massive charges when contract expires?
 
So I'm assuming you all got the call about the month-to-month 100GB special coming to an end and a demand to upgrade.
 
Retentions offering following for existing contract subscribers due for upgrade:
17GB Anytime; 575min (all networks) @ R190pm for 24 months
50GB Anytime; Unlimited Calls (all networks) @ R523pm for 24 months
 
Seems like they are migrating some of the existing deals:

"xxxxxxxxxx is currently on a My MTNChoice 50GB which includes the following monthly value 300GB data at a monthly subscription of R332 pm.

This price plan has been discontinued and will no longer offer you the same value as you are currently receiving. To avoid future bill shock, we will migrate you onto the below price plan."

They moved me to a 200GB package for R399 I don't mind as long as data share still works. If not, Ill have to cancel. I share data between 3 sims.

My sim has refused to connect for data since Thursday. Any idea why this could be?

I'm on the BF 48GB for R109 thing

Edit: attempting to log on to the MTN app it just says Grey Listed. :unsure:

Me too, wonder what happened, I thought my number had been suspended but today my datashare sim started working again but the main number is still dead

Exactly the same here. Datashare is fine, main number is dead. At least I'm not alone.
