MTN Black Friday Discussions

Is there an issue with having a package that has Anytime data and Streaming Data?

My sim only contract is up for renewal and my kids use it for Netflix, Disney, Prime when we are out and about, I assume these fall under streaming and they also use it for WhatsApp and Roblox/Minecraft so these will fall under Anytime data.

Don't assume that confirm it preferably in writing

So a consultant called me back regarding this package however they say to use the 100GB Streaming Data you have to buy airtime, anyone else know if this is legit or total nonsense.

Why would that be the case if the steaming data is included in the package??

According to them the 100GB is a bonus and to use it you have to buy some airtime which sounds bizarre to me.

Anyone got a sms today about changing to a MTN Yellow Core plan?
Ye'llo! Your MTN Mega Gigs XS has been discontinued. As a result, you will be migrated to the equivalent Yellow Plans Core price plan at RX p/m. Your migration will take place after a minimum of 30 days' notice and will be effective from your next billing cycle thereafter. Migrations will be implemented in phases over the coming months. If you would prefer to migrate to a different price plan, please visit your nearest MTN Store before your migration date. TsCs apply

So that means no more Black Friday upgrades?
To be fair the last 2yrs or so of BF upgrades have been pretty rubbish so they haven't been a real thing for a while now but this is just a product discontinuation/migration, it’s got nothing to do with anything BF related as far as I can see.

They screwed up my BF upgrade last year which took a month or two to remedy so my upgrade window will fall on BF again this year. I’m hoping something decent is offered at BF and for longer than 12 months but I’m not expecting much.
