MTN bolt on data - Afrihost alternative

My whole family (almost) have the Afrihost bolt on data, running on a MTN sim card... with the exception of my son.

Through many interactions with Afrihost, they just cannot get the SIM to provision on the Afrihost network. So I'm now looking for an alternative. I had hoped to load the 1GB at R30pm.

What is the best alternative? cos MTN (unless I'm wrong) is horrendously expensive.
