MTN contract renewed without my consent

Hi guys

Needing some advice here.

I had a 2yr contract coming to an end this month and I just called MTN to make sure its not renewed. The lady on the phone told me it was upgraded in store in June sometime. So sounds like someone made off with the new handset and made it my problem?

What are my options here?

I had same problem with Vodacom, fought tooth and nail for a good 5 months, until they reversed all the additional payments, apologized and even admitted that is was an internal fraud.

Firstly insist that you wish to see the original signed documentation.
If not a local branch then they can courier the docs to a branch near you.

Insist on a copy. If they are not helpful tell them you will go to the police and open a case of fraud (last resort)

Is it relatively easy for you to get there?

While I agree reality is it will take a lot of your time. Rather push for MTN to make those charges, it will take you less time in court if/when it gets there.

Im guessing some contractor or similar who had access to mtn subscriber info
