MTN had a special a while back (buy one gig get one gig free) but I haven't heard anything about Vodacom having a special like that .

I JUST BOUGHT A 2GB DATA BUNDLE (R389) I WAS LED TO BELIEVE THAT I WILL GET 1GB FREE. I POSTED THIS EARLIER AND SOME GENIUS DELETED. AM I WRONG IN MY ASSUMPTION THAT I SHOUDL'VE RECIEVED 1 GB FREE AND WHY DID THE "GENIUS" DELETE MY POST. SHOULD I NOT QUESTION MTN? I THINK AFTER 15 YEARS OF BEING A CLEINT I DESERVE ANSWERS:mad:

I'm really not sure about this, but as far as I know MTN's response to Vodacom's drop in price was to offer the 1GB package with a free 1GB added. You might be confused because of this. just a guess...

It hasn't been delete - it is right here. It was moved because you originally posted it in the VODACOM rollover thread.

Edit: Both you and I did received private messages from the mod giving the location of the moved thread;).

The only 1gB free special MTN ever had was : 1GB for R389 and get 1GB free . They are now selling it simply as 2GB for R389 . So you might be confused with that special.

No, it was this special of giving 1GB free with every 1GB purchased for R399 (not R389) that forced Vodacom to reduce its data rates. MTN later adapted their rates to lower the price for 2GB to be the same as that of Vodacom.
