MTN double data promotion extended

My cell phone’s GPS thank you MTN. :)

Mybb has a very funny community. You guys do realize that this "promotion" that has been extended so many times puts MTN at about the cheapest prepaid provider in SA and they get boo'd from all sides?

MTN: 1GB + 1GB = R160
Vodacom: 2GB = R249
Cellc: 2GB = R245
Virgin Mobile: 2GB = R255
Telkom: 2GB = R149 which is Telkom coverage only or R349 for roaming as well....

So a quick comparison of All the providers on their prepaid offers MTN is the cheapest or second cheapest if you count Telkom bundle......

It also allows for you to use LTE on it and use Data Share between simcards....

I pay R139 for 2gb from Vodacom :) (although technically it's a 12 month thingy which I got free, but to me it's still prepaid)

edited my post :) even if MTN was 1/2 the price, it's pretty useless in EL. I hardly ever get 3g no matter where I am.

For me it is other way around. I only get Telkom 3G/LTE and MTN 3G/LTE. Only Vodacom edge and 1 bar Cellc 3G.

Instead of "promotions", they should just have regular well priced data all day, everyday.

I suppose it matters where you are, but for the life of me I cannot understand why MTN is so crap here. I get about 38mbps on vodacom LTE and 28mbps odd on Telkom LTE..

MTN well I'm lucky to get 2mbps on a good day and not even consistent.

MTN goes to eskimo: here's two snow for the price of one.

Where are their R9/GB and R15/GB data? Cheapest? More like most expensive. ;)

Why is everyone ignoring the MTN OneTime bunldes?

R570 once off for 1GB every 6 months is much cheaper. Or R1399 for 2GB of data every 12 months (@R116 per month for 2GB effectively)

Good lord!!! Looking at the table what does anyone do with 5MB?!?

Decent amount of whatsapp text message only. Yeah that is pretty much it. God forbid some one decides they want you to see their new house and send you 5 photo's :D

I guess those type of bundles are more for the unemployed or very low income users with phones that can't really go on the net like the Nokia Asha range. It can whatsapp at least!

Hehehehehe...usage based I typically get on average 1.75MB/shared video(s) per min.10 contacts (never mind 10X +pictures sent) a day.It's an insult,but point taken.
