I have had my new contract phone delivered to me in the past so I figured this year would be no issue. After taking about a week to deliver it I had the guy rock up yesterday morning as per the appointment. I had my docs all ready but this time he had a finger print reading device and after 3 attempts to read my thumb print the system would not accept it for some reason and he said he could not then deliver the phone to me and left. Was highly annoyed as I have been waiting some time and had my time wasted and now it seems it may be better to go into a store to process your upgrade. The driver also said DSV/MTN would contact me about what's next and I have received no call as yet. Pathetic service from MTN. Don't stop a delivery of a phone that is being paid for because your system is a stuff up.

We have just experienced the same...actually twice. How was your problem solved?

Had the same issue , driver wanted to leave with phone .
When i was at the bank and finger print sensor did not pick up my print , lady gave me some normal moisturizing cream .

Did that with MTN and it worked.

For the original post above a second courier came who had a finger print reader that worked.

Just processed another upgrade and again tried the same online thing and got the exact same delivery guy with the same broken finger print reader. Again did not deliver the phone. I chose this time to cancel the upgrade and will go through to an MTN store to process it.

The DSV person that was supposed to make the delivery, suggested almost 40% of the MTN deliveries they have to make, experience this same reader problem!
