MTN explains their new 'enhanced data carry over' scheme

Holy crap! Who comes up with this bollocks? I've seen financial derivatives that are easier to understand than MTN's terms.

One question. Way doesn't my data just carry over indefinitely? I bloody (over)paid for it, so if I don't use it in side a certain period they just steal it?

I still can't believe how they can get away with the data "expiring"? If you buy petrol for your car and don't use it all in a month it doesn't expire or get taken back, you PAID for it, it's YOURS. Isn't there some legal precedent here, that legally the data belongs to you and may not be taken away (anyone with a grudge, deep pockets and a good lawyer? ). What is the situation with the cell companies in the States? Do they do the same?
