Hi
I am looking to get MTN with a public IP address.
I have tried to get the old MTNVPN API provisioned with no luck, so this is my next try
According to the internet, if you go for a Business Fixed LTE, you can add a Static Public IP address for no additional charge.
Has anyone tried this, and what is your experience.

If you mean a static IP address then with business LTE you can get it via their APN.
You can also get it on the MyMTN Home packages for personal use according to the documentation but when i contacted MTN about this they did not know how to implement it on there side.

Thanks Mobster, that is what worries me - often you cannot get hold of someone at MTN to implement it. I would prefer static, but at this stage would be ok with dynami public IP

Good luck on this. The last time I spoke to them about a business account they put me into a conference call with a knowledgeable person. However after we submitted paperwork they stopped all contact and after many follow-up and attempts at escalation we gave up. Bear in mind this was not about the public ip but the contract with lines.

They no long offer static ip for non business. Afrihost air mobile was able to give a public ip but they are mvno on MTN.

Why do you want a public IP address, whether dynamic or static? There are plenty of alternative solutions nowadays to get around CGNAT. I'm assuming you want some sort of remote access to a site that's using an MTN sim card for internet access? If so, then you can either use a reverse proxy solution like Cloudflare Tunnels, or you can get a virtual private server cheaply with a static ip, install wireguard on the server and the remote location, and setup a VPN that allows you remote access.
