I am looking to switch to Axxess' MTN fixed LTE how is their service?

Also looking into Vox, are they any good?

Tired of Rain at this point.

From my experience, delivery and Rica were quick. It is also easy to top up or cancel your service via their website. Since they are reselling an MTN product, it will depend on the quality of the MTN network in your area. However, MTN has a great network so you shouldn't have a problem.

I cannot comment about Vox as I have never used them.

Thanks for the heads up, MTN is quite good in my area bought a prepaid sim to test the speeds, have reached up to 35 Mbps so far, haven't even lost signal during loadshedding hours.

Why not sign up with Afrihost instead? Much better support and user interface. Same products, same cost.
I have around 13 MTN LTE packages with them.

Axxess has better packages price wise, they have an uncapped 20 Mbps for R350 package, that's the one that got my interest.

Did you test an MTN sim in your area? Do you get at least 20Mbps speeds?

Read the fine print.

Acceptable Use Policy

  • 100GB Limit
  • Once AUP Limit is reached,
    speed will change to 2Mbps
  • Speed is dependent on LTE router capability and network coverage
Yes I saw that, it's enough for me as I use 170 GB a month when I share with 2 other family members, I'm going to use this one all alone, it's mainly for watching TV and PC updates mainly, if I'm happy with the service I'll upgrade to the 50Mbps uncapped package

And what is the full speed? I only saw the Pure LTE packages there

What was the issue with Vox if you don't mind sharing?
Im getting 120MBPS, but that will be area dependent. test your prepaid MTN sim you got to see what you can expect.

I actually cancelled the LTE package because speeds deteriorated, they were installing fibre in my area and I decided I will get fibre. Fibre took to long, and I needed something in the meantime. I didnt want to go LTE again and decided I will get this one. Big plus for me is it is mobile and I can take it everywhere with me, unlike LTE

Also works on 3G and in any device.

You can also transfer a max of 50GB of that uncapped package to other Afrihost Air Mobile simcards.

Yes it's quite a nice feature. You can get a prepaid simcard and signup for Air Mobile prepaid and transfer data from the uncapped sim to this service and still claim 1GB each month.

On this 3G note, does these also work on 5G?

I'll wait for my new router to arrive and slot in my MTN sim there and check the speeds again, then take it from there, thanks for the heads up
