Hey guys

In the last few days I'm seeing terrible international speeds on MTN.

Ran a test now to compare. If you look at the last 30 days, and today, it's worlds apart. Anyone know if they have a known issue? I have opened a ticket, but being after hours not much will be done about it today.

But why are you getting so much higher than I am??
I'm also on a 100Mbps line. Local speeds are amazing, and I would be more than happy with what you are getting there.
I haven't heard back from MTN yet, will have to follow up on Monday.

I'm just amazed there are actually people on MTN FTTH. Seems like all they do is dig and never actually accept applications.

What speeds do you guys get through download managers?

Yeah, MTN are the only provider in my area. In fact, the fiber node and equipment are right in my back yard, about 100m from my house inside the boundary fence. The don't even bother locking it :wtf:

I've never had issues with downloads etc, always run at full speed. Torrenting a Linux DVD takes a couple minutes and generally caps out between 11MB/s and 12MB/s (Yes that's MegaByte)

Just noticed hectic buffering when trying to watch a Twitch stream, and now that I know the speed is so bad it's irritating the heck out of me.

If that really is the best they can offer, I will downgrade my link to the 20Mbps offer.

Out of interest, are you guys on contract? I'm on month to month.
