MTN hikes contract data prices

here I was thinking about a data contract. fsuckn thieves. lemmie check what afrihost is offering. on my way to prepaid fast. have to wait till December though. going to take the cheapest contract next month. will save upto a grand just like that.

Don't forget you can't use Afrihost unless ur on a MTN contract...Pre-paid wont work with Aftrihost

If all mobile operators take this lead, that will be the government's broadband to all in "sy glory in".

If you complain about network quality you get given a form to fill in then they never respond to it, ever again. complain about that a week later and they give you the form again. (7 times I have filled in the form in the last month, still no response.)

I did the same thing with Cell C, their network was so bad in Durban CBD that it wasn't even usable, they took at least 3 months to respond and another 6 months to do something about the network not working.

Hahahahahahaaa...eish yaa ne...
My MTN Anytime 200 expired 2months back...was thinking of downgrading it to MyChoice50 and bolting on 2Gig(month to month) data on it...and i was thinking of doing that month end...lol...now am gonna get rid of the contract all together...Hello Telkom Mobile...

EMpTyN, taking you back to the dark ages. Funny it's happening on the heels of LTE.

TM has had tasty options that have all but vanished now.

- Gone free SMS
- Gone 5GB data
- Gone 300MB roaming (MTN) data

Plus they have serious coverage issues. Until the network sharing deal is in place with MTN, they aren't the best by far.

I was looking at a T-Mobile UK SIM only contract today:

4GB Data
Unlimited Calls
Unlimited SMS

£22.99 pm or around R420 pm if converted to SA Rands... Highlights how much we are being robbed here!!

MTN lose a bucket load of customers to (mainly) Cell C and their response is to get the remains of their customer base to pick up the slack in their income!!

data is where the revenue comes from these days but emptyn is gonna see their gat with these prices.
