Seconded! I love getting my voicemails in my email inbox.
 
Fantastic - have been waiting for years for something like this for when travelling. I use a similar service from Telkom for my landline messages. My only suggestion for MTN and Telkom is to please give the option of having the messages emailed as MP3 rather than WAV. Any chance of this MTN?

Any specific reason you asking?

Does your phone only accept Mp3?
 
Just that the file size is so much smaller, so the attachments are less of a burden on the email system.
 
Having tried this now, am sorry to report that there are problems. Whilst I can log into the website and listen to my messages there (a great advance in itself), the forwarding to email is not working at present, and cannot work out how to set up more than one greeting. Call centre are clueless on this service.
 
I will also like to know where/how to activate this I-MAIL service, and YES the call centre agents are clueless... And the MTN website is also not so helpful..

EDIT: I just tried to log into the I-MAIL system, and i got this error message:
An error has occurred logging into the i-Mail system

You are not currently provisioned to use i-Mail. Please try again later or contact your Service Provider for more information.

Solution: Call 173, last time i tried this, the agent said I-MAIL what? And then she promised to find out and get back to me, never did. :(
Does I-MAIL work on all cellphone models?

Would just be nice if the email forwarding worked

iMail is a nice service, but the email forwarding does not work. We can try it with different email accounts and different MTN mailboxes and the emails never get delivered... they are in the mailbox but nothing coming through.
 
Mine is working just fine to Gmail.

I have a problem with a prepaid SIM using Mtnloaded email whereby I never got the SMS when a new email arrived so the problem could be with a specific voicemail platform whereby emails cant be sent.

This could have something to do with the mail.mtn.co.za problem and the MTNLOADED problem we are in the process of replacing these and the system is not very stable at the moment

Mine's been working fine from November 2006
 
It would be great if I could receive my SMS's via e-mail as well. This way I won't loose them everytime I reset my i-mate.
