MTN InternetOnTV versus Vodacom WebBox

CellC and RBM need to release some of these things... Imagine a Cell C one, R1999 with 2GB a month for 12 months and the device. (not that impossible considering it's R999 for the data, and the MTN one is R999)

And anyone saying that 100mb will last longer on Edge than on 3G can keep smoking their socks. A web page is a web page. If the page takes 4mb of data to fully open then that's what it will take, with Edge or 3G. With Edge it will just take 10 times longer to open. So you're going to browse the same number of pages whether you have Edge or 3G. 3G will get there faster.

With that argument a faster connection will actually use less data because on EDGE half the stuff with time out all the time, wasting data. But everyone knows that the faster it is the more you use. If you have to wait half an hour for a page to load you're not really going to want to use it, if it loads instantly you will be surfing all over the place.

If you're surfing all over the place with 3G then you're actually making use of a service. If the data runs out then it's your fault. My point was that some people think that with Edge you'll be able to surf more pages. i.e. do more on the net. If two users, one using Edge, the other 3G, log onto a webpage they will use the same data. The one with 3G will get there a lot faster and maybe want to surf another page whilst the one with Edge will still be waiting for the page to load. So the one with 3G will maybe use more data, but they will proportionately also do more, and save time.

PAL is actually 720x576 @ 25 fps when two sucessive images (or frames) are combined. The output from the device will either be scaled to fit into this or will have black borders.

Do more definitely not. Last a bit longer yes. The guy with 100mb and EDGE will maybe take 3 days to finish the data (but half an hour to load each page) while the guy on 3g with 75mb will only last like 1 day (open a few pages and a youtube video).
