MTN launches 1MB auto-renewing data bundle

MTN said that this auto-renewing 1MB data bundle is allowable under the ICASA End User and Subscriber Service Charter (EUSSC).

Where can we read the EUSSC to verify MTN's claims?

I use Afrihost data, which means that OOB doesn't affect me. So I have opted into OOB lol,

I am not surprised by this tbh, ICASA and most of mybb wanted to severely diminish their revenue by putting limits on data expiry etc. Of course they will respond.

I brought 100MB bundles from time to time,
I opted out a few times of auto renew, but MTN in its wisdom has decided to be MUCH more greedy.

This is honestly no different to the OOB shark we were trying to avoid. Wow, first vodacom now mtn. This is not right!

I had a 16GB download on Monday night, I fell asleep and woke to it depleting 1.4GB of my regular data bundle leaving me with nothing for the rest of the week. Still 6% download to go but I have a spend limit of R2. So fortunately it stopped otherwise it could have been expensive.

So for me the worse case is to lose R2, but due to this immoral new system I have sent a couple of emails to MTN and costed a few consultant minutes to them, way more than R2. If we could all swamp them maybe they can be a little more sensible.
