MTN loyalty rewards

How did you buy the bundle?

If you're on contract you can use MTN Active, otherwise you can send the *141*6*0# USSD code.
See here for the others.

Didn't buy the bundle chose it with the MTN loyalty program. You know the *141*9# thing

I have only seen recurring bundles on MTN, so I think you will be charged for a new bundle on your anniversary day. You can avoid this by cancelling the bundle the day before.
This was the procedure when bundles expired after 30 days.

Now things have changed, bundles are supposed to last 60 days, but what happens if you cancel your bundle at 30 days to avoid being charged for a second bundle? Do you lose your MBs?
If MTN only sell recurring bundles, how does one buy one bundle every two months?

Dont think you can cancel the bundle once you made a purchase using the mtn loyalty points. You not allowed to reverse it because the points are deducted and they not going to go and reverve it.Be careful what you want to purchase.Make sure you buying what you really want. Its not like edgars where you want to get a refund lol.Theres no going back once you bought something using the points.

Ok heres the new deal with mtn and its DAMN AWESOME ! Bought a 100 mb once off data bundle and used it before 30 days.So i bought another 10 mb once off data bundle using my mtn loyalty points and then bought another 10 mb once off data bundle using airtime. So i loaded 3 data bundles within a month! Its unlimited now! Well i dont know why they say 60 days since i am FINALLY FREE TO PURCHASE AS MUCH DATA BUNDLES AS I WANT.Mtn going to make a killing.Lol their profits going to hit the moon lol.Well good for them.We both gain.Lol

Surely as a pre-paid customer you are free to buy as many data bundles as you like during the month .

Depending on your useage rather buy a data bundle and stick with it for 60 days.Heavy users usually buy 100 mb and more. But it works out cheaper to buy two 100 mb once off data bundle at a cost of R160.I had 4 mb data remaining from my first purchase of once off 100 mb data and then i bought a second one for 10 mb using the mtn loyalty points and another 10 mb data once off using airtime. So its 4+10+10=24 mb.My data bundle under 24 mb now.So you FREE to make purchases to your likey.Better than paying R2 a mb ! THANKS MTN HOPE YOU GUYS GOT MORE TO OFFER US !

To answer your question NO you dont lose any MB and you cant cancel a data bundle! Well i am on prepaid and dont know how contract users work.So go call mtn.I am HAPPY on prepaid. You can add on mb if you want to buy any more data bundles.Well thats with PREPAID so i dont have a clue with contract users.Had my mb added on when i made new purchases of data bundles.

That right dude we are free to purchase as much data bundles that we want.Heard the adverts on the radio station.East coast radio. So its TRUE.You can buy 3 or 4 10 mb once off data bundles or whatever you want. Its cool whats mtn doing now.

How do you know you don't lose any MB? This is the first month we've had 60 day bundles.

And yes, you can cancel data bundles.

I am so impressed with this new data rollover that as from the 1st May I am going to buy 2gigs , as I dont use more than a gig a month at home , the 2 gigs should last me 2 months equating to R194,50 per month . Now I dont think that there is a network in S.A. besides (Vodacom,MTN)that can give you those speeds) for this price .

Well i dont lose any mb.Its get added on.And why you want to cancel a data bundle when you bought it in the first place.Make up your mind.

Well i dont lose any mb.
When don't you lose any MB?

You need to cancel a recurring data bundle before its anniversary date to prevent being charged again.

The question was:

Im not sure if im a fan of this program . I had 975 points so i bought a 10 mb data bundle 350 points . Mtn the cheeky son of guns . The 350 points was removed from my points system at about 4 am but i never got my data bundle . And my 350 got removed (last week) from points the next day 10 points were credited back to my account . No data bundle and i lost over 300 points . And when i phoned mtn care line on the 18th the guy (seriously can i get a job at mtn cos lord knows i would do a better job ) didn't even know what i was talking bout .

I bought a 10mb bundle with my points. Mtn deducted 350 points but I received no data bundle. I called 173 and they told me that they were experiencing network problems , but as soon as the problems are fixed , I'll receive my bundle. I'll see what happens , hopefully I'll get my data without having to call them back.

i tried to register for the last three days (on a anytime 500) and it just says.. sorry mtn are experienceing a problem, everytime !!! sigh

Same problem with me.

Bought a data bundle using points on Tuesday. Got the sms saying it was transferred and 10mb was in fact added to my balance. I used less than 100 kb using Opera mini. Later that night I wanted to use some more data but I had nothing left.

Data balance was 0bytes. So Since I really wanted to use the net, I used another 350 points. Got the sms to say I made the purchase, but the sms confirming the data bundle had been added to my account only came on wednesday, BUT NO DATA CAME ON WEDNESDAY.

Now by this time I was desperate to use the net. So I tried AGAIN. Used ANOTHER 350 points on wednesday and AGAIN NO DATA WAS ADDED TO MY BALANCE. Sure I received the sms saying the data was added, but NO DATA WAS ADDED!

So that's 30mb I don't have. To make it worse I wouldn't have bought the second two bundles if the first didn't just disappear.
