Friend of mine had a MTN PAYG sim for about 4 years; she was just out of SA for 4 and a half months, and when she arrived back found that the sim had been canceled and the number allocated to somebody else. MTN say 3 months is the threshold for you to retain your number, so she's lost the number and the credit she had on the phone (couple of hundred Rand).
Surely this can't be right? Anybody can point me in the right direction?
