I have a 8ta 10Gb @ R199/month, so how do they see this offer as appealing to anyone?
MTN should wake up to the fact that SA is still in the "stone age" when it comes to broadband, and actually offer something groundbreaking, not just pip its competitor by a buck.

This is a classic example of the Bait and Switch Scam.
A large number of unscroupulus companies invest millions in false advertising.
When the client visits the store, he or she is informed that the product no longer exists or there was an advertising error.
These fraudulent companies are hoping that the client will spend some money on something else, seeing that the client took the effort to visit the store.
