MTN smtp timeout for webmail.co.za outgoing mail

Hi!
I am using smtp.mtn.co.za port 25 as the outgoing server on a webmail.co.za email account in Mozilla Thunderbird using a 3G modem and am not able to send mail (I receive OK) - it keeps throwing up connection timeout error messages.
I know that this situation occured in 2007 and was due to MTN configuration changes. But what could be the cause currently?
I would appreciate any help to solve this problem as it is severely restricting business!

Try port 587 with no SSL

Will give that a try tomorrow am [MENTION=202971]Rickster[/MENTION]. In the interim I used smtp.uls.co.za port: 25 and it sent an email successfully, albeit rather slowly. Will report back on your suggestion ... thanks!
