Yes - if it's MTN - you'll get SPAM - and lots of it.

I have even stolen a few facebook profiles that way, handy if you want to post something and not get cancelled.

Please people - share your MTN SPAM here - let's see who gets the most?

I am with Telkom. I get no spam, just irritating SPAM callers now and then. Generally the same companies that thought I forgot they called me last month.

MTN is known for extreme spamming and subscription services. I had a number that was recycled. The person from Zim was still using it for her whatsapp but because they went back to ZIM they couldnt renew the number. Soo I had all her friends message me 24/7 to give my whatsapp pin so her friend can reactivate her account on whatsapp. Close to 15 messages and calls a day. WTF really.

My god it's annoying, dial *135# to opt out but everything is already opted out

I get called once a day on my MTN sim, some computer lady wanting to offer some personalized ring tone. So annoying. Doesn't help blocking the number as they change number every 2nd day.
