What I can suggest is to download the MTN App. Once logged in click on the Menu then under Lega click on Manage Consent.
From there in each category, you can switch off all the options you do not want to receive SMS notices about.

Default opt in is a scam. I hate these bastards.I bought a SIM that went straight into my laptop.
Took it out after a few months and put it in an old phone and loaded R10 to see if it still works. Money disappeared in seconds because I was subscribed to a R5 per day service????? FSKING unethical thieves.
How much money do they make from people who don't know any better?
