MTN Spam

We have 2 Axxess 50Mbps LTE SIMs - despite NEVER opting to receive any marketing material they get spammed like that.

I'm not complaining - it is expected from a 2nd rate network like MTN - considering the price we pay.

Hi

What I can suggest is to download the MTN App. Once logged in click on the Menu then under Lega click on Manage Consent.

From there in each category, you can switch off all the options you do not want to receive SMS notices about.

Look, get your execs to talk to your partner MTNs execs? Maybe that Jacqui O'Sullivan, she seems to get things done, in this case a way to turn off ALL MTN marketing SMSs.

Yeah, Jacqui O'Sullivan need to deal with this.

I'd like to give her some spam on a daily basis too :sneaky:

I bought a SIM that went straight into my laptop.

Took it out after a few months and put it in an old phone and loaded R10 to see if it still works. Money disappeared in seconds because I was subscribed to a R5 per day service????? FSKING unethical thieves.

How much money do they make from people who don't know any better?

Thanks, but already tried this and it did not do a thing.

They had the audacity to send me one this morning, actually:

Default opt in is a scam. I hate these bastards.

The way Vodacom and MTN make their huge profits is simply to extract money from the stupid ANC voting morons.... every Rand taken is probably followed by another million or so. Every fu.cking day.

Ya nee.

Did anyone find a way to disable these SIM toolkit notifications? This is the sketchiest thing. I have opted out of everything I've found.

So, I got this new phone(not from MTN), and guess what? They set my Chrome homepage to the MTN homepage while configuring the SIM.

The bastartds have no right to go and change my preferd homepage.
