i was also told that 100% everyone with a blackberry is experiencing this problem, all over South Africa.MTN you are LIARS. i suggest u value your customers more and actually give them what they deserve for putting up with your crap all the time.
i asked numerous times to be transferred to a manager where i can discuss all the issues i have been having, to find a way that they can support me and help me as a customer.
i did warn MTN about posting this on the internet if they do not direct me to a manager who i can personally resolve the issue with.
MTN has been the most pathetic of all networks.
i have also spoken to many many people who are complaining that the blackberry internet service is way too slow.
i now wait at least 30 seconds for a page to load, i might as well just go to the library cause im sure researching from a book will be faster.
this speed is apparently not the speed that was promised along with the blackberry internet service.... FALSE ADVERTISING MTN????????
im also very dissapointed in the way that MTN operators handle situations and complaints. they are very unproffesional and half of the time i was not even asked my name or my MTN security code.
i think this should be heard so that everyone can save themselves a lot of time, stress, anger and MONEY...
 
i have been with MTN for over 10 years now and i am disgusted by the service i have been provided with over these years. i have kept these issues to myself and took it on with MTN themself but i think its time everybody knew the truth.

i have had issues from not being able to make receive calls for over 8 MONTHS!!! in those months i was at the MTN stores and phoned the customer service every week where they would make up new stories on ho to solve the problem, one of them was a sim swop which i had to pay for eventhough it was not my responsibility to pay for something i did not F up in the first place.

and thats why i am posting this today

DO NOT BECOME A CUSTOMER OF MTN!!!!!

do not make the mistake of buying yourself into a 24 month contract!!!!

over the years i have thought that mtn would improve their service and customer satisfaction but i am sick and tired of their BS.

this morning, as i need my phone for business, the blackberry service stops working.
thing is i have asked people, one a MTN customer and 1 not an MTN customer, their blackberry service is both working.
SO WHY AM I PAYING THE R59, THE FULL AMOUNT THEY ALSO PAY, BUT I ONLY GET HALF OF WHAT I PAY FOR.

i have spoken to 5 mtn operators who have been absolutely no help at all. i was put on hold and told that i would be transferred 4 times where i waited longer than 5 minutes on hold and eventually gave up cause no one came back to me.

i dont get the service i am paying for. i would much rather sell my phone for a NOKIA and change networks where i will get exactly what i pay for in not such a pathetic and unpredictable manner.

im not satisfied at all with the service provided to me and although R59 is not a lot to have a permanent mobile connection, they are still not living up to what they have promised us customers.

i think this should be heard so that everyone can save themselves a lot of time, stress, anger and MONEY...

no service provider is perfect, but lets thank Vodacom for their efforts and extrodinary customer services.
 
the calls are recorded... its proof that they lied... that i phoned a million times to get the 8 month problem of not being able to receive calls, etc etc. and word of mouth means more than what MTN can say for themselves
 
my bis is completely not working for the past few hours , be happy if you have a slow connection , atleast you can still use it

Have you read articles and watched the news?? This is a worldwide issue that occurred!
