If you aren't aware if you dial *142# on MTN prepaid you get lots of special offers.

I have 4 different sim card, and gotten a few different deals as part of the summer surprise

The coolest deal I got was 30 day 60 mtn minutes and 500mb data for R10.00 and you can stack the deal as well tried it twice and got 1 gig data for R20.00. My phone sim has an offer for R290.00 300 mtn minutes and 6gig data for R290.00, which isn't half bad.It depends on how active the sim it seems as another sim got the same 30 day 60mtn minutes and 500mb data but for R29.00

I tried *142# on my mtn mychoice contract unfortunately it's only for prepaid. While 500mb isn't a whole lot of data, I still think 500mb for 30 days is pretty sweet, not sure how many you can stack, if you can stack it 10 times at R10, R100.00 for 5gig isn't bad at all especially considering the data lasts for 30 days.

Lol thats pretty sucky :D I assumed the MTN minutes were mtn-mtn calls only, but from your screenshot mine is all networks it seems.That said I have 5 MTN sims, two got 60minutes and 500mb data for 30 days at R10, one got 60 minutes airtime and 500mb for R29.00 for 30 days.

6 gig for 290.00 and 300 minutes is extremely tempting, I am just going to stack another R30 bucks on the R10 deal, will give me 1.5 gigs and a 180 minutes. Since I already have 120 minutes and 1gig data, I get 2.5gig data and 300 minutes for R50.00. That is a MASSIVE score in my books, it honestly makes the R290.00 deal pointless.

I guess some times you get lucky, I only got the 10gig for R10.00 promotion twice.Sorry it's seems I got mtn-mtn minutes instead of all networks, which is fine. I don't care much for the minutes, the Data is far more impressive R50.00 for 2.5 gigs is a steal. No point stacking more data, as I have more then enough, plus I have to use my contract data and afrihost data.Think I pretty much sorted.None the less R500.00 will get you 25gig to be honest that is a steal......

MTN changed my one summer surprise this week the R290.00 one, the offer I get now is R350.00 for 9 gigs same amount of minutes, that really isn't a good deal any more, the other sim offer is still R10 for 500mb still able to stack it, so that means R200.00 gets me 10gig valid for 30 days.
 
Sad panda I don't have any nice deals left, Basically all the sims have tightened their buttcracks.
All the 30 day deals are worthless,

500mb for R29.00 ( You get the same deal for R10.00 some times, means this one is actually worthless.)

5gig for R220.00 (Not too bad but honest getting 500mb for R10 bucks means you can get 10 gig for R200 on the same value, and considering the summer surprise stacks, it is carp deal.)

7gig for R290 (Slight better but still no R10.00

1gig For R90.0 ( Not worth it)


It seems your offers can change daily they start off in some cases with the highest amount and then get progressively cheaper for less data as long as you don't recharge it gets cheaper. R10.00 for 500mb is the sweet spot, for me. I wouldn't be surprised if some users who haven't recharged in ages get even cheaper 1gig offers.

That said, I have 1047.00 minutes for the next 30 days any useful number to use it on 17 odd none stop hours of taking, if you aren't sick of mobile phones now you will be when you done with the minutes.

That said I spend R150.00 on each sim with the 500mb for R10.00 I am well stocked for the next month, actually have so much data, I paused my afrihost data for the month.

I have 300MB for R5 that lasts 7 days. My Mo Nice deals are very crap at the moment so this one is quite good.

But my Summer Surprise deals change too often and sometimes the price triple.

Went from 500MB for R10 to 500MB for R29. I guess it'll get even more expensive from here.
 
Entirely forgot about a sim I had stashed away in a modem. Inserted it into my old phone and bam ! I get rewarded with 500mb for 7 days.

Checked *142# 500mb/60 minutes for R10.00 for 30 days. Loaded airtime R250.00 and at stacked that beatch crazy, plus I got the free waves and got a total of 1gig extra and a few odd minutes extra.

Other sims still wants R65.00 for 500mb, or no offers.Quite nice got my new phone yesterday and has a bunch of updates to do.
