Hoe lyk julle mense se spoed deesdae? Mine is very erratic the last couple of day. We were in Namibia for two weeks, when I got back I got my 3gig, used that up, and then I went from slow to super crawling speed and then this weekend I got like speeds between 1,2 - 4,7 mbps, that will last only a couple of minutes each time and then on Sunday my speed was very high again, now it's crawling again. Don't understand what's going on? I only get my cap on the 17th of each month..so what is this in between high speeds I get? If it will only last like an hour or two more, then I will be happy!![]()
Man, I'm just glad that I can be online at home all the time and still have download speeds of 90Kbps to 120Kbps when throttled. To most people that is totally unacceptable but for me it's fine.
Essentially they throttling at 1MBps. That's about right, and a little cheaper than your 1MBps from MWEB.

You've got your Bs and your bs mixed up.
1mbps = 128 KBps
256 Kbps = 32 KBps

No I didn't
You don't get a m in front of a K... Derp.
Kilobyte (KB or K) = 1024 bytes (2 ^ 10) "binary kilobyte"
kilobyte (kB) = 1000 bytes (10 ^ 3) "decimal kilobyte"
Kilobit (Kb) = 1024 bits (2 ^ 10) "binary kilobit"
kilobit (kb) = 1000 bits (10 ^ 3) "decimal kilobit"
90KBps to 120KBps is the equivalent to a 1mbps line dependent on signal strength and Microsoft's integrated cap.
Since when does MTN uncapped throttle users at 1 mega bytes per second?
I don't know.
I don't use MTN, I was just replying to what SwaarMataal said. Unless he mixed his "Bs" up![]()
1MBps is 8000Kbps not 90Kbps - 120Kbps.
I don't know.

No man, I got my B's right
On that post I meant 90 to 120 Kbps (Kilobits per second).
Also, just to be clear, currently the MTN Uncapped Lite throttled speed (after 3GB) is 256 Kbps (Kilobits per second).
hahahaha, lag ek nou lekker vir julle. Ek weet net die B is groter as die b...of is ek nou verkeerd :wtf: ....![]()
Jy's reg. 'n B staan vir bytes en 'n b vir bits. Met ander woorde 256 Kbps = 32 KBps.
