I have recently moved into a new apartment in Fourways on the second story of a building, since then I get horrendous MTN speeds (on the uncapped lite R289 package). Some days I cannot even open a facebook page as it times out. The best download speeds I have seen is 160kbps.
Question being can this be because of the location of the apartment (currently have the modem on a USB extension hanging out the window as its the only way I get decent speeds) or can there be something else wrong that I can fix somehow?
The MTN connection program shows that there is mostly MTN+ HSDPA or something like that, but even then it will be quicker for me to run to a library and read what I want to read there.
