On Wednesday, I upgraded my corporate MTN account, with my SP NashuaMobile, I was informed I will only get my new handset after 48hours, whether they delivered it or me collecting it, strange don't you think, after all I have been using the number for 5years already, I would be able to collect the phone within 24hours, I would think.

Funny, I applied for a new Vodacom Weekender contract for my daughter at a Vodacom4U shop and immediately received the handset, after all the credit checks, etc.

So why does MTN take so long, I am begining to think where is customer loyalty, oh sorry this is South Africa, let us just rip people off and not bother if we are servicing our clients, as per our marketing crap.

I don't know who is at fault here, is it the SP or MTN, but MTNHandsets or MTNBB, you guys need to address this k@k service we are receiving.

xssnet, unfortunately it's not MTN dragging their feet, but nashua mobile

If you go directly to MTNSP you would have no problems at all. I've had my number for little over 5 years as well and MTN (compared to Telkom and Vodacom) has always given me good customer service.

Heck, one time I forgot my pin number, and the lady at MTN SP ILLEGALLY gave me my pin number over the phone and said I shouldn't tell anyone or she'll get fired for breaking security.

THAT is how dedicated they are. I would also suggest going to www.hellopeter.com as I feel the correct eyes would see what you've posted. Here you get a person who does MTN Edge 3G broadband internet, not normal day to day handset/upgrades stuff.
