Is there anyone here working for MTN?
I'm having the following problems:
A few weeks ago I started having issues on my three cellphones and tablet. They would all throw a 'Sign into the MTN network' notification and I would not be able to make or receive calls until I rebooted all four. I called 808 and they re-registered me on the network (whatever the heck that means) for all four devices. The problem seemed to be resolved for all, but one device.
I called 808 again, who then told me it was a coverage problem and referred me to the coverage department. Coverage department told me there was no problem on their said and referred me back to 808. When I called 808 they transferred me back to coverage who were adamant that the problem was not on their side. I dropped the call, because I was fed up. When I calmed, I called 808 who started with the same nonsense again and I explained the whole back and forth nonsense, so they walked me through re-registering via the mobile network option in my settings. They asked me to perform a cold reboot and if the problem was not resolved to go into an MTN store.
I went to an MTN store, because I still had the same issue. The MTN store told me there was nothing they could do as the coverage department was the only ones who could help. They also mentioned that other MTN customers in the area were having similar issues. So I insisted they call coverage themselves, who then told them there were no coverage issues. In the end the MTN store told me there was nothing they could do except a sim swap for me. That was last week Saturday. I'm STILL having the same issue with my device despite the sim swap. I've re-registered manually and rebooted several times and it would be fine for a few minutes, then I'll get the notification that I need to 'Sign into the MTN network' again.
I've tried calling 808 from my other three devices and a land line and the calls keeps getting dropped after selecting 0 to speak to a consultant. I've had enough.
Please stop calling and sending me messages that one of my contracts is due for an upgrade. I am NOT renewing anything with you again. I've been with MTN for more than 11 years and their services have steadily declined.
