Really I tried it. I gave it my best shot and was very disappointed. Now OSX is an Operating System that is built to impress. It's not without its foibles, but if MS copied it for Vista, then doesn't that say something?

I would have suggested Gentoo [I use it every day on my desktop PC], but KUbuntu is IMO an excellent Linux distro to start with if one is new to Linux [which you aren't but MTNDD is] .
