Mugabe has started a war

All morality issues aside, if you look at the proxy wars in other parts of this continent - they end up draining the countries economies, and removing most of the democracy that exists, while multinational corporations then quietly leech away at whatever they happen to be wanting..

What it always comes down to. Sad really.

No matter what super power wants what,, the power is in the hands of the people of Zimbabwe, all they need to do is exercise that right.
Unfortunately, that is part of the problem... this Zims themselves :(
They complain everyday about the **** life in Zim, but when they get opportunity to change it.... a lot of them still go and ... duh... "I'll vote for Mugabe again"
Guess its a lot like some of our people too....
But, none of us reeeely expected Bob to give up peacefully, its just not like him... he, and his cronies has too much of a lekka life to loose.
So they must get whats coming to them!
Pity its gonna negatively affect us neigbours too, ... but in the long run, 'removing' Bob will be good for us.

Nope, never saw this man go quietly into the sunset, eh politicians, what can you do, they are the curse of the working man, like said before, only zimbabweans can save zimbabwe

Like mentioned by a few above.

Botswana can do it, yet not a big story.
One country in Africa that's run by grownups.
Something we can be happy about at least.

We all knew it was coming.....
Like Saddam, Mugabe is going to be killed

Now, for the first time, there is justification to take him out.

He went against the will of the people.

Should this escalate into a civil war, we might see the international community getting involved.

It should not take long.

NEVER. AU will not allow international intervention. Mbeki does nothing because during Apartheid, ANC, IFP, AZAPO etc. were welcomed there (they could go to british schools, they trained there etc.), it is Mbeki's way of saying "thank you" to Mugabe - doing nothing.

Zimbabwe will not erupt into Civil War, he has far too much support from his Joint Operations Committee (Airforce, Army, Police, Reserve Bank etc.), for any REAL continuous opposition.

Watch. The Senate results are going to skew toward Mugabe.... :(

Like I said, all it takes is the bullet from a former SADF soldier, to solve their problems... The SANDF Army can't shoot... ;)

One small problem, the AU has no say if the UN says it will deploy. And South Africa has a seat on the UN now. Thus meaning the SANDF will be forced to join. If Mbeki refuses, he has chosen the wrong side and we will be seen as an accomplice meaning we're fk'd too ;)

All the SANDF can do these days is spread HIV...

We're f$cked anyway. You think the ANC would give up peacefully if another party were voted in? SA is going the exact same way. Luckily A doc urgently needed arrived in the post this morning. So I am on my way out of dodge in days to come.

Yes but, that IS the problem. Mbeki will push for an African solution. When was Africa ever able to solve any problems? ...

African leaders have no respect for Mbeki anyways, nothing's gonna happen - watch.

I see what you’re saying, and agree with it to a point. The second the UN says it's time to sort Zim. We're in a very dangerous position.
