I'm confused by the popular vote vs parliamentary vote... is it that the MDC won more seats in parliament, but by much smaller margins than the seats won by Zanu-PF?

All u need to understand is that he's still the prez.

He can make any law he wants.
His cronies will be unemployed and probably jailed if he is ousted, so he will be supported no matter what.
