MultiChoice announces three new DStv channels

Low budget .... give us the low budget that we want to see , low budget pron also has a market dont you know ...... In other words the crap that we have made that we cant sell , that we must sell or show.... I sense an influx of the most horrible k a k ever made ! Thankfully only a handfull will watch it and then tell us how much time they wasted , and how they feel robbed of that time . Another fail like soweto TV . Are they so useless that they cant even see or listen to what we want or ask for ? Let see what has changed

We have lost Sci-Fi for Soweto TV/ bugglegum cinema ...... I cant go on, i am not even such a huge sci-fi fan, but at least it was something to watch ..... Should we get more TOPTV's and more competitors for DSTV , that can offer live rugby,F1 and soccer, with a few movies , DSTV will become "unsustainable" with the extra crap they are adding to the "bouqet". Just realised to get a "bouqet" you have to feed s h i t into the ground ....

DSTV are only giving more now thanks to TopTV.

We need Sy Fy and Comedy Central on TopTV and they really will be TOPS.
 
You do realize that everytime DSTV announces a few new channels, they are followed by a price increase within 3 months? :D

Better go and purchase the Bulk Value Bargain tub of vaseline this month.

If they put Sy Fy and Comedy Central on TopTV I'm getting it. End of story. Right now I don't have DSTv (cancelled long ago) and I'm sortof undecided about TopTV... but if they add these two channels I'm sold.
 
The more they "grow" the more irrelevant they become. Presumption is their #1 enemy. They presume to know what I want...they don't give a rats #$%^ what noises come out of my mouth. They have it figured out.
 
It has become time to trash DSTV and get some form of "uncapped" ADSL. Only thing that I find a bit abrasive, seems MWEB is the only option for a usable option. No matter, at least then I can watch what I want, when I want, as many times as I want. I will miss the live F1 broadcasts, but then that is hardly a reason to pay R 500.00 odd a month.

Hungry (for?) Beaver, I could not agree more! 3 more crap channels which I will never watch!
Comedy Central YES YES YES!!! And all of the rest as well, and if only they will allow you to choose the channels which you want to watch but i suppose my 500 rand a month wont then cover to pay for the crap channels then?

but they never really put the "as-is" American channels anyway...always some re-packaged for Africa/Mid East region stuff.
even BET is a week or so behind the states normally and with older seasons of their reality shows.

It was a choice between the "Hot Lezbo Teen Scene" channel or "Afro Music".

DSTV really haven't brought out any real worthwhile new channels for a while. They are terrible when it comes to new music channels, they bring out music channels for the same target market as the ones they already have - do they know there's more out there? Like that VH1 classic they had running for a while was pretty cool, maybe some Kerrang! or MTV2 would be nice. I assume this "AfroMusic" is going to play the same music that is already being played by Channel O and MTV Base.. As for the Mzanzi channel, I saw a preview for it and honestly, I dunno who will actually watch that channel. There is already quite a big variety for kids so dunno who had this bright idea for another kids channel, however this may be the most successfull out of the 3. There series currently running I think are pretty s@#%, nothing really worthwhile there. As for movies go, meh.... nothing great - rare to find a non-re-run-good movie. The only thing its worth for as we all know is for sports. I agree with MFour, get uncapped and the world is your oyster!
 
TopTV is shopping for new channels. They have started a subscriber panel to engage the subscriber's needs directly. They welcome input and comments. They should be adding new channels by Sept/ Oct 2010. So please write to them. They do respond as well! They are listening and want to satisfy the customer with more choice that the customer wants. I have written to them regarding the popular channels etc. SyFy, Horror and Comedy Central. The more requests they get the better chance they will add these channels.

I was a bit happy, because once it was mentioned that BET will also be coming, but now its quiet. No one is saying anything about it. I was thinking of continueing my subscription, but i have no choice but it go to Top tv for BET.

I watch the same amount of tv with TopTv as i did with DSTv...just costs me about half.
and BET is great, apart from the many reality shows.
anything I want new I get from other sources, so the re-runs of old series on both systems don't bother me much.
