MultiChoice has announced new prices for its DStv services, which will see increases for many subscribers.

699 includes HD. Extra for PVR + extra for dual view (no idea how much extra, couldn't be bothered)...

I wonder if there is a break down on this. I would like to see how they add up to this. What expenses they have towards HD and, most of all, extra view. I might be too stupid to see the reasoning in this, but to me they're charging for something that's not gonna cost them a cent more to give you. Basically a "switch" they flip...<click>now you have it....<click> now you don't.

Cancelled our DSTV 2 months ago, and this latest price increase justifies my doing so.
Would have worked out to about R890 per month.
Only thing I am missing is the Cricket and Rugby.

I hate to break it to you, but in terms of international pricing, and the quality of sports we get. DSTV is in no way overcharging.
