Give me a break! I'm the person who wrote the comment that zamicro celebrated, for READING THE ARTICLE.

And read my follow up comment, too. I agree that is it not being done over the internet YET, but it could be in the FUTURE, perhaps after LLU.

Off course it is possible to do over the internet, if you have a gigabit backbone (which we do not). ICASA only awarded a license to do IPTV over the internet to Telkom Media, who is now Super 5 Media.

I guess that would be relevant for gated communities that are served by fibre (or a closed DSLAM, I suppose, such as iBurst has implemented in some cases) to each residence.

Yes, this is for large gated communities (like golf estates). This means all services can be distributed over the same IP network, to give triple play + other services.
