So I think we should petition to have religious channels removed from DSTV or at least made into pay channels. After all, this porn thing has set a precedent now.

Like Apartheid-style anti-porn, anti-black, anti-gay, anti-liberalism, anti-free-media, anti-choice and ultimately segregation? Really? You are such a prudent individual with a major chip on his shoulder. I would advise you seek professional help, since it seems you want to believe Apartheid still exists so that you have people to blame for the way you are and why people disagree with you. The "problem" with this forum is that it consists of an intellectual and skilled majority who have almost all learnt about causality, reaction and don't need a moron screaming hate-speech at the top of his lungs or a sex-pest pervert president as an icon of pride to understand, quite simply, who we are, why we feel the way we do and why we agree with each other on some points and disagree on others.

Funnily enough, when we all agree on something, chances are good it's because we not only feel strongly about it, it's because we have enough evidence before us to determine that, for example, nationalising the mines is a bad idea.

If you want to bring, "omg omg omg apartheid-style bannings omf omf you all sux0rz punani!" into it, then, sorry, but that just makes you look like an imbecile who is incapable of understanding the debate at hand and has significant insecurities if the only way for him to rationalise something is to bring something entirely superfluous into the discussion. But ultimately, you do it to make yourself feel better because, really, if you didn't, what else would you use as an excuse? Your education? Your minimal life experience? The fact that you're not comfortable with who you are and the life you live? In all honesty, it wouldn't surprise me if it's because the ANC has drilled it into your head that you're handicapped, that you should be pitied and be given things, receive grins and nods instead of disagreement, because you're not good enough to earn it yourself.

I fully agree i am tired of seeing that religious BS on the service i pay for.

So how do we go about doing that? Let's take it seriously i think. This is not about porn but about our freedom and right to have choices in life that are not dictated by religious groups.
 
No porn decision victory for children, Solidarity

The decision by Multichoice not to implement a 24-hour pornographic channel is a victory for children in South Africa, says Solidarity Helping Hand.

"Helping Hand thanks the more than 47, 000 South Africans who, to date, have stood up and said no to pornography," executive director Dr Danie Langner said in a statement.

"The victory shows that every South African has a voice and can take a stand against decisions that promote the moral decay of our country. South Africans will not simply go along with decisions that may have harmful consequences."

Over the past three weeks, he said Helping Hand was inundated with letters from the public about how pornography had wrecked their lives.

Its research report showed a clear link between pornography and child abuse, and numerous social workers revealed that explicit visuals were in some cases instrumental in grooming young rapists.

Helping Hand was grateful that, instead of making a one-sided decision to implement pornographic channels, MultiChoice had involved South Africans in its research.

Firstly, I love how these anti-porn fundamentalists go by the name of "Helping Hand" as though they're completely oblivious to the word irony.

Secondly, am I the only one who spotted the hypocrisy in the last sentence?

I agree. I'd like to know how many of DSTV's subscribers were included in this survey or if it was purely a survey done by the conservative.
 
if 99% of men fap and 99% of women fap, and the other percent are liars, then why not just give us a fapping channel. Internet surveys around the world say that fapping is the in thing. It is good for stress relief. Healthy and fun. I mean I'm fapping right now but because of cry baby churchy union babies I have to fap while switching between animal and church channels. This is so unpleasant. Oh no! I jumped to weather and its loading and won't escape..fap fap fap hehe :)
