Multichoice secures additional satellite capacity

I'm guessing, this will add support for an alternative h264 format and could coexist with the current mpeg2 infrastructure. So that by 20<thumb_suck_nr> they can say ok guys your existing mpeg2 decoders are outdated we will give you X amount of time to move over to the new hardware decoders that can work with the new h264 format.

I find it extremely, ironic how this company that is protected from all the other broadcast "requirements" that E-TV and SABC are subjected to, also has the privileged of being allowed to charge their viewers whatever they wish for premium content.

You mean charge whatever they wish for cr@p content. Not even sci-fi (syfy) chanel.
 
It will just replace intelsat 7/10 at 68.5,it's not an extra sat like the article make it sound.
