No, that can of worms is the real danger for those wanting to mess with that. And in I think another thread it was also discussed that there's the possibility of being charged with encouraging piracy by sharing too much.

Those subjects I'm done with as we did sort of agree in the end.

They can't, as far as we can see unless one openly gives them what they need to prove it.

That aside, if a site offers me something as legitimately free and I take it, good luck to them proving I knew otherwise. They will need to prove that, else they're proclaiming you need knowledge of unavailable-for-study contracts to be able to avoid such guilty choices.

All sounds like BS more and more.

I don't think it's right to be paying for a pirate stream, I stream for free. Search iptv sports m3u., add it to vlc on pc or a iptv android box or smart TV app to watch for free. MC can kiss my ass, their greed has come to bite them

Issue is having to search for m3u's all the time as they dont last long. I would rather pay R200 a month for a IPTV service that does all the ground work so you can just click.
 
Wonder if they'll go after DW & NHK for streaming the DW & NHK stream free of charge on the internet, as DSTV hates competition /sarc /silly

They might go after the "new provider" (not gonna name them, but their name is in this thread, and have a tread of their own) and then parade that as "proof" they are doing something to scare people.

Knowing where to find the streams is one thing, shutting them down is something else entirely. Although, TBH I'm not a fan of these pirate IPTV sites. One can get pretty much everything they offer and more via a VPN and, besides, they're a schlep to use.

It usually takes an FBI raid to shut them down. And that is after some pretty expensive legwork just to figure out the hosting location.

Why a schlep? I would have thought easier than finding one's own good sources.

Never had any issues with the bigger IPTV providers. No buffering, no drops. works 100% of the time.

Im going to have to disagree on the point of zero downtime. on the service I use DSTV sources have been changed a few times due to them being down for like a day. IPTV is great for sports as they have multiple sources for the same thing like rugby you have Sky Sports, Supersports, ITV, NZ Sky and many others.
